Do you normally change your makeup routine according to the season? I do! As I’m sure many of you know, it is normal to get oilier during summer months and drier during the winter – especially up here in frigid Wisconsin.
In the summer I tend to get outside a lot – I’m out in the sun, in the wind, and in the water. Whatever your summertime hobbies are, the elements can leave you searching for dry-skin remedies that all-to-often leave your skin feeling greasy or oily.
For this reason, I have made the switch and fallen in love with hyaluronic acid products. If you don’t know, hyaluronic acid (or “HA”) is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies that helps with fluid/moisture retention in our connective tissue and skin. Because of this, it helps our tissues stay plump, full and moisturized without affecting how much oil we produce or absorb.
Worried about dehydrated, cracking skin or wrinkles from squinting in the sun? Hyaluronic acid has your back. I’ve tried a lot of these, and let’s just say that some are much better than others! Here are the four products I’ve been using this summer that I absolutely love.
After I wash my face (nighttime and daytime), before I put ANY product on my face, this is the first thing I use. I love how it gives me the feeling that it holds everything together and it just feels great going on.
What I love about this product is that it acts as a 40SPF sunscreen AND a primer at the same time. It’s perfect to put on before you apply any makeup, and it’s not greasy at all!
This stuff is great. It has a remarkable way of evening my skin tone – it is super light-weight and gives buildable coverage. I like to add a little more over my acne scars and it helps make my overall skin tone more even.
This mist is so incredibly light it feels weightless. It is very effective at helping my makeup stay all day and it gives my skin a fresh look that doesn’t fade. I also love how fresh and clean it feels and smells to quickly mist this on.
